A washing machine is provided to reduce dehydration time and to reduce energy consumption by inflowing hot blast generated at an impeller into a tub. A washing machine(100) comprises a tub(110), a drum(120), a drive unit(130), and a cover(140). The drum is rotatably installed in the tub. The drive unit rotates the drum and generates hot blast. The cover surrounds periphery of the drive unit to guide hot blast so as to allow the hot blast to be supplied into the tub. The drive unit has a stator, a drive motor(131) and an impeller. The drive motor has a rotor rotating around the stator. The impeller is mounted at a periphery surface of the rotor and rotating with the rotor for generating hot blast. |
