PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To separate and extract a frequency component of an original acoustic component, while repairing a missing frequency component of an input acoustic signal. SOLUTION: In a repair and extraction method of the frequency component, frequency analysis is performed on the input acoustic signal, and a spectrogram x(i,j) is calculated, where i is time and j is frequency, and each element of a vector amount x<SP>k</SP>(k=1 to K) is calculated for each position of x(i,j). An observation value matrix set Xk is generated, and preceding and following elements except element (i,j) and an observation value matrix is output as a feature vector f(i,j), for each position of a frequency component status matrixΘ<SP>F</SP>. In each position, a posterior probability in which any frequency component status appears, when the feature vector f(i,j) is given, is calculated, andΘ<SP>F</SP>for increasing a posterior simultaneous probability is estimated by using the posterior probability of each position of x(i,j), and from thisΘ<SP>F</SP>, the frequency component of the input acoustic signal is output.
