The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising compounds which are used in the form of active substances and contain a 1-oxo-3-(1H-indol-3-il)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoxynoline fragment, to a method for producing said compositions and the use thereof for treating and preventing the development of different diseases associated with an increased activation of the adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) and to the use of compounds which contain the 1-oxo-3-(1H-indol-3-il)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoxynoline fragment in the form of "molecular pharmacological tools" for investigating (in vitro and in vivo) biochemical mechanisms of the action of corticosteroid hormones and of the specific receptors thereof, in particular, a melanocortin receptor-2 (MC2R) whose agonist is embodied in the form of a ACTH.
