<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber, in which high-strength polyethylene is mixed with fiber glass, being industrially applicable in wide range as a material for high-performance textiles such as protective clothes and protective gloves, as ropes and nets for industrial use and consumer use and further as a reinforcing fiber for composite materials such as fiber-reinforced concrete products and helmets. <P>SOLUTION: A fiber remarkably improved in cutting resistance ability can be provided by producing a yarn in which high-strength polyethylene fiber is mixed with a glass fiber. The cutting resistance ability is further improved by increasing the ratio of the fiber glass to 20%, 33%, 43% and 50%. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
