<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save space while avoiding thermal failure, thermal damage, thermal deformation and the like of a part which is easily influenced by heat in parts arranged around an exhaust system. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust heat recovery device 5 provided in a middle of the exhaust system is constructed as described below. An outer tube member 21 and inner tube member 22, a space C1 between the outer tube member 21 and the inner tube member 22, a channel selector valve 23 changing over exhaust gas channel between an inner space C2 of the inner tube member 22, and an exhaust heat collecting part 30 provided in the space C1 between the outer tube member 1 and the inner tube member 22 are provided. A part or a whole in an exhaust gas flow of a part which are easily influenced by heat in parts arranged around the exhaust system 3 is provided to oppose to a part or a whole in exhaust gas flow direction of the exhaust heat recovery part 30.
