摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure fine particles in exhaust gas, using an exhaust fine particle measuring device. <P>SOLUTION: A PM sensor 62 which measures fine particle amount in the exhaust gas is provided between a three-way catalyst 49 and a muffler 50 in an exhaust pipe 47. The PM sensor 62 is constituted so that an oxidation catalyst 71 and an electric heater 72 are fixed, being piled up and that a temperature sensor 73, for measuring the temperature of the oxidation catalyst 71, is interposed between them. Ceria, as an oxygen storage agent storing oxygen in the exhaust gas, is supported on top of the oxidation catalyst 71, and ECU 51 calculates the deposited amount of the exhaust fine particles, based on the integrated value of the temperature rise amount and the air amount sucked, when the oxidation catalyst 71 is heated with the electric heater 72. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
