PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display that can improve the quality and manufacturing yield. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is provided with a silicon substrate 2, where a first degradation layer 7 is formed and a glass substrate 3, where a second degradation layer 9 is formed. Even in the first degradation layer, a wiring layer is not worked and an alignment layer is not worked or worked, in only a region by which a working waste will not adhere to the part near to a liquid crystal injection port, even if the alignment layer is worked. In the second degradation layer, the wiring layer is not worked and the alignment layer is not worked or worked in only a region, by which the working waste does not adhere to the part near to the liquid crystal injection port, even if the alignment layer is worked.
