PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint structure of a steel column and a steel beam, which is effective and appropriate enough for fully assuring an energy absorption capacity at a beam end. SOLUTION: A bracket 3 having a damper property is interposed between a steel beam 2 and a steel column 1. The bracket has an upper and a lower flanges 4 fixed on the steel column and a shear panel 5 which is composed of a steel panel and is provided between the flanges. A bending rigidity and a bending yield strength are set larger than those of the steel beam while the shear panel is shear-yielded prior to the steel beam. The ends of the steel beam are respectively joined with pins to two positions of a base part and a tip end part of the bracket, so that the end of the steel beam is rigidly connected in structural mechanics with the steel column via the bracket. The steel beam is composed of a main body part formed of an H-steel and a connection end part formed of a channel-shaped steel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
