PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide an opening/closing device of a folding door, which cushions a shock during the closing of the folding door by incorporating a damper for alleviating the rapid closing motion of the folding door by a spring of a center hinge, almost at the terminal stage of the closing motion of the folding door. SOLUTION: In a structure of the folding door 1, right and left door bodies are foldably connected together via the center hinge 2, and urged to a closing position by means of a spring which is incorporated into the center hinge. The folding door 1 is equipped with the damper 10 for alleviating the rapid closing motion of the door bodies. The damper comprises a cylinder 11, a piston 12, a piston rod 13, a fluid for generating a resistance force against the movement of the piston rod in the cylinder 11, and a spring 15 for constantly urging the piston rod 13 in a protruding attitude.
