<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic instrument for which a plurality of models of circuit boards can selectively be installed without changing the layout of a common connector which is commonly installed for the plurality of models regardless of the presence/absence of a selecting connector which is provided for a part of the models from among the plurality of the models. <P>SOLUTION: A board installation region 30 keeps a board 150 for a first model and a board 160 for a second model selectively installed. The instrument main body 10 has openings 140 to 142 for making a plurality of connectors 40 to 42, which are mounted on the boards exposed, in the front surface side and the back surface side. On the board 150, USB connectors 40 and 41 are mounted in a manner to respectively coincide with the openings 140 and 141, and in addition, a LAN connector 42 which is provided only for the first model is mounted in a manner to coincide with the opening 142.
