<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a diet food making use of large swelling properties of bentonite, especially natrium (Na) type bentonite, and caking property and thickening property of bentonite. <P>SOLUTION: This diet food added with bentonite (mainly natrium type) is obtained by adding bentonite (having montmorillonite as the main ingredient), mainly natrium (Na) type bentonite to a processed food (bread, confectionery, diet food, and health food), and is swelled by using swelling properties of bentonite as a swelling effect of swelling by carbon dioxide of bicarbonate of soda (sodium hydrogen carbonate) and yeast fungus in food processing.
