<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PWM amplifier that has small peak and effective values of an input current without enlarging a circuit size. <P>SOLUTION: This PWM amplifier, provided with a triangular-wave oscillator (15) that generates triangular waves, a PWM modulator (16) that generates PWM signals by comparing the triangular waves with a single-phase or multiple-phase voltage command by a comparator, and an inverter that amplifies electric power based on the PWM signals, is connected to the same DC power source in two axes. This PWM amplifier is also provided with a synchronous circuit (22) for synchronizing the triangular waves of multiple axes, a bias circuit (21) that adds a bias signal to the voltage command, and a bias generator (20) that generates a value of the bias signal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
