The invention relates to a device for reducing an interruption in motor vehicles provided with an automatic gear box (2), to a jerk caused by said interruption and to a corresponding method, wherein the compression, extension, distortion or another deformation of the motor vehicle geometry is avoidable by reducing a driving torque of wheels (8) driven by a main drive motor (1) and by simultaneously increasing the driving torque of wheels (8) driven by at least one auxiliary drive motor, and the auxiliary motor(s) operate the wheels (8) which can be also driven by the main drive motor (1). The method controls the torque output of the auxiliary motor based on the actual or the estimated drop in torque during an initiated gear shift and/or a gear shift which is to be initiated and to the temporal course thereof. |
