OPTICAL PLATE, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE OPTICAL PLATE, BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical plate having high light efficiency, and to provide a method of manufacturing the optical plate.

SOLUTION: The optical plate includes the body plate and a plurality of lens patterns formed on a first surface of the body plate, wherein the lens patterns are elongated in a first direction and are arranged, in parallel with each other in a second direction that crosses the first direction. The cross section of the lens pattern forms a part of an ellipse shape, where the ratio of the semi-major axis to the semi-minor axis of the ellipse shape is in the range of 1.65 to 1.75.
