RUBBING CLOTH MATERIAL FOR PRODUCING LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubbing cloth material for producing a liquid crystal panel having a uniform and stable pile slope in the weft yarn direction by regulating the pile slope in the weft yarn direction of a woven cloth according to proper design of a ground cloth structure, brushing the piles in the weft yarn direction and then stably fixing the pile slope by back coating. SOLUTION: The rubbing cloth material for producing the liquid crystal panel is a velvet fabric having the ground cloth structure composed of warp yarns 11-22 and weft yarns 1-6 and pile yarns A-D woven in the warp yarn direction of the ground cloth structure. In the rubbing cloth material for producing the liquid crystal panel, the warp yarns 11-22 are composed of the warp yarns 11 and 12 forming a plain weave structure and floating yarns 21 and 22 woven in a state floating on the upper side of the weft yarns in the surface on the side where the ends of the pile yarns project in one complete design of the velvet fabric.
