A method for controlling speaker volume in a home theater system is provided to automatically control the speaker volume according to the preset speaker volume setting information, without manipulating audio output of a speaker. If a mode of automatically setting a speaker volume is selected(S10), a screen for inputting speaker volume setting information is displayed(S11), and then the set speaker volume setting information is stored as a profile(S12). The current speaker volume setting information is compared with the stored speaker volume setting information to extract a coincident speaker volume setting information(S14). Speaker volume is controlled according to the extracted speaker volume setting information(S15). |
