A dish container (2) attaches to a motor vehicle's console (1), which also has a hollow cylinder (3) used for holding cigarette or cigar stubs/buts. The burning ash from such stubs is extinguished through lack of oxygen and can be directed in sequence through a sliding seal (4) on the end of the dish container. No dirty residue from the system reaches outside through a filter flap (8).
