<p>The tambour frame drive of a tambour machine (1) has a guided tambour frame (2) on a mounting (3). There is a planar motor (4, 5), preferably a reluctance motor, to guide the tambour frame. The tambour frame is mounted on its mounting without lubricant, possibly by the use of an air bearing. The primary part of the motor may be on the tambour frame, and the secondary part on the mounting.</p> |
