PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nozzle operating method for a component mounting apparatus in which the arrangement of a nozzle is changed when the kind of a product is changed over, in such a way that the nozzle can be replaced automatically and in the small number of times of a replacement operation, and to provide a component mounting method so that the quality of the product is stabilized and that the mounting efficiency of a component can be enhanced. SOLUTION: In the nozzle operating method for the component mounting apparatus, a plurality of kinds of nozzles are mounted on a nozzle station, and the nozzle adapted to the component to be mounted is used so as to be mounted on a mounting head selectively from the nozzle station. In the component mounting method which uses the nozzle operating method, the arrangement of the nozzles mounted on the nozzle station is automatically changed. |
