An apparatus for calibrating an optical modulator is provided to have a simple configuration by having various characteristics of a light source. An apparatus for calibrating an optical modulator includes a light source, a light scanning device, an optical measurement system and a light source controller. The light source emits a light to the optical modulator. The light scanning device scans the light emitted from the optical modulator. The optical measurement system measures the light emitted from the light source. The controller controls the light source in order for the optical measurement system to emit a sensible calibration light invisible to the light scanning device.
