Device for decorating objects

The device has two transportation carriages (16a, 16b) moved by a driving device and a decoration station (50a), and a holder (24b) is attached to each transportation carriage. The holder is formed for carrying an object (7) e.g. compact disk. The holder is movably attached to the transportation carriage perpendicular to the movement direction of the transportation carriage, and the two transportation carriages are guided to carriage paths that are separated from each other. An independent claim is also included for a method for decorating an object.
