The installation has a pump unit (1) provided with an inlet feeder (2) for being connected to a water source (3) i.e. water, provided by a city network. An outlet (12) delivers a torque of water pressure/flow for supplying to misting spray booms (6) that are provided with misting nozzles (14). The pump unit is provided with a unit for supplying a wash wand (5) that includes a nozzle (9) arranged to an end of a flexible pipe (11). An independent claim is also included for a method for utilizing a high pressure misting installation.
