#CMT# #/CMT# The method involves arranging openings (3A) in a wall (7) of a chamber and a case (3), respectively. A sparkplug (13) is slid in the openings and is retained by an end in a cylindrical housing (15A) of an adapter (15) and another end passing across an opening (7A) with a clearance between the plug and an edge of the opening (7A). An alignment difference is determined between the openings (3A, 7A). The difference is corrected on the adapter so that after mounting the clearance is more than a preset minimal value. The sparkplug is mounted on the adapter, and the adapter is fixed on the case. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a set of adapters for mounting a sparkplug in a combustion chamber. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for mounting a spark plug in a combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The method permits to ensure mounting with correct positioning of the spark plug inside the combustion chamber when the case and the chamber present an alignment default resulting from fabrication tolerance of parts. The method permits the technician to accept the fabrication defaults of parts in specific measure and rectify the defaults easily without affecting the overall performance during the mounting of the combustion chamber. The method avoids scraping of parts whose fabrication is expensive and proceeds to correction operation of the parts. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a detailed view of mounting of a sparkplug. 3 : Case 7 : Wall 3A, 7A : Openings 13 : Sparkplug 15 : Adapter 15A : Cylindrical housing.
|
