<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CPU power consumption control method for suppressing degradation of performance small while suppressing the power consumption of a notebook computer. <P>SOLUTION: With a CPU being operated in a plurality of performance steps under the operating environment of a basic program, the power consumption of a computer device is measured. The performance step of the CPU required for operating the computer device with specific power consumption is derived therefrom.
