RECORDER/REPRODUCER AND RECORDING/REPRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine whether a following program has been recoded already or not after some program is reproduced, and to enable the immediate viewing/listening of the following program if it has already been recoded.

SOLUTION: The recorder/reproducer comprises a recorder; a reception control unit; a program guide/information processor; a reproduction control unit for reproducing a program recorded in the recorder; and a command display/execution designation determination section for urging a response of whether a following program is reproduced or not when the reproduction of the program stopped at the reproduction control unit, and making the reproduction control unit execute the reproduction of the following program when the following program has already been recorded in the case of a response for reproducing the following program.
