PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a zoom lens system not only having a large variable power ratio, short entire length and high resolution but also having a blur correction function for optically correcting the blur of an image, and to provide a thin and compact imaging apparatus and a camera which include the zoom lens system. SOLUTION: The zoom lens system has a plurality of lens groups comprising at least one lens element, and forms the optical image of an object in a manner to consecutively vary power by changing spacing between at least any two lens groups out of the lens groups, and is equipped with at least a first lens group having positive power and a second lens group including a lens element having a reflection surface to bend a light beam from the object and having negative power in order from the object side to an image side. Then, any one of the lens groups and the lens elements positioned nearer to the object side than the lens element having the reflection surface or a plurality of adjacent lens elements constituting one lens group move in a perpendicular direction to an optical axis.
