PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte square secondary battery having a high capacity and capable of preventing short circuit due to fracture of a separator. SOLUTION: The non-aqueous electrolyte square secondary battery is provided with a group of electrode plates in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate are spirally wound through a separator. The winding ends of the positive electrode plate and the negative electrode plate are located outside of±10°from the center of the group of electrode plates to the center part of the short side part.
