IMAGING APPARATUS AND IMAGING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which a user can image an object while confirming it even in a dark environment and the object side can also recognize that imaging is performed.

SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus comprises: a camera 105 which picks up and outputs an image of the object; an illumination means 106 for illuminating the object; and a memory 114 for storing the image of the object outputted from the camera 105. The apparatus is characterized in that, prior to storing the image of the object outputted from the camera 105 into the memory 114, the illumination means 106 is lighted off.
