The device has a correction lens diminishing better perceived wavelengths by a suitable filter glass and increasingly passing-through weakly perceived wavelengths in relation to the better perceived wavelengths during the viewing of a person. The correction lens is formed by an eyeglass lens or a contact lens. The filter glass balances the individual colour falsification of a person with colour vision deficiency. An independent claim is also included for a method for correcting the colour vision deficiency of a person.
