A device for powering an objective lens is provided to prevent a rolling phenomenon caused by a displacement of an actuator driving unit at a tracking direction in a tracking control operation. A device for powering an objective lens comprises an actuator driving unit, a magnetic circuit, and a rolling compensation coil(9,10). The actuator driving unit is supported elastically and displacement-possibly at an actuator frame to mount a driving coil at a lens holder with the object lens. The magnetic circuit is fixed at the actuator frame and formed with a magnet(4,5) forming an effective magnetic field for the driving coil. The rolling compensation coil is mounted at the lens holder to be operated effectively at the effective magnetic field formed by the magnetic circuit to generate driving power at a tilt direction compensating a rolling phenomenon generated when powering the actuator driving unit at a tracking direction by supplying a powering signal to a tracking coil(6).
