PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnifying glass stand capable of eliminating constraint to a circular fluorescent lamp tube or a lamp shade as much as possible, with improved versatility by making a socket for a fluorescent lamp illumination fixture thin for enabling to be attached to even a small arranging space, to keep a good lighting condition of the fluorescent lamp tube, by using a socket for a fluorescent lamp illumination fixture thus improved. SOLUTION: A socket housing 33 is formed flat, and an insertion hole 34 is fitted on one of the flat faces of the socket housing 33. Socket pieces 41c facing to each other interposing a central axis CL of the insertion hole 34, and arranged in a longitudinal direction along the central axis CL, and a coupling piece 41d connecting above, are provided at a socket part 41a. A lead wire connector 41b with the socket part 41a arranged in parallel is connected to one side end part of the coupling piece 41d. A straight bending edge 41e is formed by bending each socket piece 41c in an L shape. A depression part 42 continuing to the bending edge 41e is formed on an opposing face of the socket piece 41c, and four tiptop parts with the bending edges 41e and the depression parts 42 crossing each other are set as contact points P1 with a lamp pin 35.
