PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical head which has a simple structure and performs focusing control smoothly and efficiently by suppressing occurrence of tilt and deviation of a lens holder and an objective lens caused by an attachment angle of a magnetic member, and floating-supporting so that length between the objective lens and a recording surface of an optical disk becomes appropriate length in design without supplying a current to a focusing coil. SOLUTION: The optical head has a lens holder 1, a case 2, a shaft 3 fixed to the case 2, a permanent magnet 4, a tracking coil 5, a focusing coil 6 joined and held at a lower plane of the lens holder 1, and a magnetic member 7 which is attached to the lower plane of the lens holder 1 and provided with an upper piece part 71 and a connection part 73 for connecting a lower piece part 72 arranged below the lower plane of the focusing coil 6 to the upper piece part 71.
