RGD-ENRICHED GELATINE-LIKE PROTEIN WITH ENHANCED CELL BINDING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tissue adhesion-preventing agent after operation, containing an RGD-enriched gelatin. SOLUTION: The tissue adhesion-preventing agent comprises an RGD-enriched gelatine wherein the proportion of RGD sequences related to the total number of amino acids is at least 0.4 and if the RGD-enriched gelatine comprises 350 amino acids or more, each stretch of 350 amino acids contains at least one RGD motif. Preferably the RGD-enriched gelatin has about 30 kDa to about 200 kDa molecular weight and actual positive charge at pH 7-7.5. The RGD-enriched gelatin is prepared by recombinant technology, and has a sequence that is derived from a human gelatine or collagen amino acid sequence and at least 80% of that comprises one or a plurality of parts of a natural human collagen sequence which have at least 30 amino acid lengths.
