PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reception quality of an MBMS channel in a communication system of an OFDM system. SOLUTION: This transmitter has multiplexing means 14, 16 for multiplexing a unicast channel, the MBMS channel, a specific pilot channel specific to a specific cell and a common pilot channel common to a plurality of cells and creating a transmission symbol, as shown in Fig 2. The multiplexing means 14 performs time division multiplexing of a unicast frame including the unicast channel and the MBMS frame including the MBMS channel in the same frequency band. Insertion density of the common pilot channel, included in the MBMS frame, is higher than insertion density of the unique pilot channel included in the unicast channel. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
