<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for preparing peptide and an ACE inhibitor (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor) using the peptide as an active component and a pharmaceutical composition, health food or food including the ACE inhibitor. <P>SOLUTION: The invention relates to the ACE inhibitor including the peptide comprising an L-amino acid sequence represented by formula (1) as active component; the pharmaceutical composition, health food, food including the ACE inhibitor; the method for preparing the peptide comprising the L-amino acid sequence represented by formula (1) by processing micro algae in an aqueous solution with a protease, extracting the peptides in the aqueous solution and then subjecting the solution to a process removing insoluble components from the aqueous solution.
