The suspension has a spring-damper device (1) with a spring (2) and a damper (3), which are connected with a structure of a vehicle in a body-side. The spring and the damper are fastened in the area of a wheel carrier in a wheel-side, where the device is designed such that an operating axis (9) of the spring coincides with a deflecting direction (10) of the wheel, while an operating axis (8) of the damper runs diagonal to the deflecting direction. The axis (8) crosses the axis (9) of the spring in an area of the body-sided attachment, where the device is connected directly with the carrier.
