Fuel feed assembly for rotary kiln has aperture with inward opening hatch operated by conveyer feed action

An assembly feeds alternative solid fuels or waste products into a rotary kiln through an aperture with an inward-opening hatch. The aperture has a lifting gear e.g. a fork lift unit with an essentially radial presentation, and by means of which the fuel or wastes are released into the rotary kiln overcoming the weight of the hatch. Also claimed is a commensurate rotary kiln and a kiln charge process.
