PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shut an oil repellent, which is applied to various kinds of precision equipment, components or the like, in a tubular container equipped with an applying member, and easily fits to a bearing or the like, to simplify an oil repellent-applying operation to a target place. SOLUTION: An applicator comprises an applying member for applying an exuded oil repellent, the member projecting at the front end of a long, narrow and tubular case which is filled with the oil repellent. In this case, the applying member is a writing brush-shaped one, and at least the front end of the writing brush-shaped applying member is black or very dark. By this, the effective component concentration of the oil repellent does not change, and the oil-repelling properties are always excellent after the application. Further, an oil repellent-applying operation to a complicated narrow part can easily be carried out, and an amount of the oil repellent adhering to the applying member is always easy to see, and consequently an insufficient application of the oil repellent to the applying member due to lack in an amount of the oil repellent or an excessive supply by pressing of the oil repellent to the applying member is eliminated.
