<p>The energy generation for obtaining fresh water from salt water by using conventional seawater desalination plant and water turbine (55), comprises operating the desalination plant with pre-purified sewage or brackish water. The desalination plant and the water turbine are connected with one another by means of a pressure pipe (53). The desalination plant has a suction pipe (50). The height difference delta H2 is used between the desalination plant and the water turbine. The energy generated with the water turbine is used differently.
