PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical instrument having improved workability in puncture work in the medical instrument used when sewing a body surface part to an internal tissue with a suture. SOLUTION: This medical instrument 1 is provided with a body 2, a first puncture needle 4 slidably provided on the body 2, a first retaining plate 61 retaining the first puncture needle 4 and slidably provided on the body 2, and a second retaining plate 62 detachably and freely operably mounted on the first retaining plate 61 and retaining a second puncture needle 3; and the second retaining plate 62 is mounted facing in a prescribed direction relative to the first retaining plate 61.
