PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a size-reducible drying and baking device for painting with favorable heat efficiency, efficiently removing odor or harmful matter included in gas. SOLUTION: The drying and baking device for painting is comprised of a sealable drying furnace 2 allowing input and output of an object A to be painted, a pair of superheated steam generating members 5 respectively arranged along both side wall 2a inner sides of the drying furnace 2, and delivering the superheated steam (a) provided by heating steam applied with a voltage and introduced into a pipe member 3 toward the object A to be painted from delivery holes 4 being a plurality of delivery parts provided at predetermined intervals in the pipe member 3, a heat insulating material 6 burying a portion of the pipe member 3 excluding the delivery holes 4 and its neighborhood, a circulating mechanism 7 sucking the superheated steam (a) and gas in the drying furnace, removing odor and harmful matter of the gas on its moving path, and then resupplying the gas into the drying furnace, and a controller 8 setting work conditions such as the applied voltage, a supply amount of the steam or the like, and a treatment time, and carrying out control so as to maintain the set conditions.
