PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for eliminating active oxygen in vivo for treating the agent for eliminating active oxygen in vivo ascribed as the cause of about 80% of diseases. SOLUTION: The agent for eliminating active oxygen in vivo which comprises an aqueous solution containing a nanosize precious metal (platinum, palladium, gold or silver) colloid can treat active oxygen in vivo by the reducing power. The agent for eliminating active oxygen in vivo can be orally taken conveniently and is useful in preventing or treating diseases in which active oxygen in vivo participate.
