The device has a stand and a supply reel swivellingly stored at the stand. A balancing weight strand has a carrier form and sticking balancing weights are arranged. A guide rail (7) is provided, at which the end (6) of the balancing weight strand (4) is led. The balancing weight strand is gradually moved along the guide rail of moving slidegate valves (14) with a top side (16) of the balancing weight strand cooperating with a fixed bracket (15) and moved according to a given adjusting path, which is directly or an integral multiple of the dimension of the balancing weights (5).
