An internal combustion engine system 10 having an internal combustion engine 12, a fuel source 14, a fuel filter 16 for filtering fuel from the source 14 to the engine 12 and a fuel pressure switch 18 disposed between the fuel filter 16 and the fuel source 14. An additional sensor 20, 22, eg an oil pressure sensor or a water-in-fuel sensor, is provided for sensing a condition of a substance fed to the engine 12. An output device 32, 32' is connected to both the fuel pressure switch 20 and the additional sensor 20, 22 for indicating when either the fuel pressure switch 18 indicates an improper fuel pressure condition or the additional sensor 20, 22 indicates the sensed condition is an unwanted condition. The low fuel pressure switch may be wired to the low oil pressure switch so that improper pressure on either switch will cause a warning light to illuminate. |
