A system and a method for repairing remotely a fault are provided to test remotely a customer terminal not being connected to the Internet and remove an access failure problem, thereby having no necessity to send a maintenance agent due to a fault report registered by a problem of the customer terminal. A remote access device(30) is connected to a customer terminal(2,4), of which the fault is registered, through an L2 path to perform access to the Internet(40) for the customer terminal. An integrated subscriber network maintenance system(70) is connected to the remote access device through an L3 path, connects with the customer terminal through the remote access device, and tests remotely the customer terminal through access to the customer terminal. An Internet access unit sets the Internet access path of the customer terminal to the remote access device under the control of the integrated subscriber network maintenance system.
