A method for diagnosing the functional and organic intestinal pathology in the coprofiltrates of the children comprises the assay of carbohydrate-containing proteins, glycosoaminoglucans, and total fucose. The content of glycosoaminoglucans and fucose exceeding 0.75 and 2.98 ?mol per 1 mg of protein, respectively, is indicative of the inflammation.
