An apparatus and a method for controlling a warp of a rolled heavy plate are provided to prevent an end portion of the heavy plate from being bent downward by shielding a lower surface of the heavy plate using a heat resisting plate. A warp control apparatus comprises a transferring table(30) for a heavy plate(10) and an air-cooling shielding member(50). The transferring table includes a plurality of rolls(32). The air-cooling shielding member includes a moving plate, which is mounted on a driving member installed on the heavy plate in a width direction of the heavy plate and a heat resisting plate for shielding heat of a lower plate of the heavy plate. The air-cooling shielding member moves up and down between the transferring rolls at a direct lower portion of the heavy plate.
