A backlight for a keypad is provided to enhance the operability of a keypad by combining a reflective layer of a PC film to a transmissive layer of a silicon film, and reduce a fabrication unit cost by simply forming a concavo-convex pattern on the reflective layer of the PC film. A transmissive layer(20) is disposed at a rear side of a cover sheet(10) having multiple character input portions for inputting a command, and allows light, which is made incident from an LED(70) disposed at one side, to be transmitted therethrough so as to be transmitted to the other side. The first reflective layer(30) is disposed beneath the transmissive layer(20), and reflects light, which escapes from a rear surface of the transmissive layer while the light emitted by the LED(70) is being transmitted from one side to the other side of the transmissive layer(20) so that the light can be returned to the transmissive layer(20). Multiple concavo-convex patterns are formed beneath the first reflective layer(30) to allow the light made incident on the transmissive layer(20) to be concentratively transmitted to the character input portions(11) of the cover sheet(10). |
