<p>A paint spray booth (10) is provided containing a plenum (14) packed with a contact material (22) for treatment of paint overspray (20) generated during operation of the paint spray booth (10). The contact material (27) is packed to provide a relatively large surface area and a relatively large interstitial area defined by the contact material (27). As paint overspray (20) and bulk fluid (16) is drained and channeled through the plenum (14), contact efficiency between the bulk fluid (16) and the overspray (20) is maximized. Paint overspray (20) is thereby effectively detackified.</p> |
