PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transaction device which prevents a third person from peeping into the display content of a display input screen regardless of the arrangement position of an illuminating device or the standing position of the third person. SOLUTION: The automatic transaction device includes a customer's operation part 11 for displaying information and having a touch panel function, and is arranged in a position where the customer's operation part 11 is irradiated with light from the illuminating device 22. The device 1 includes: a main control part 18 for performing control to reduce luminance of the customer's operation part 11 at prescribed timing; and an illuminance sensor 20 for detecting brightness in the neighborhood of the customer's operation part 11.
